But all you gave me was pain.
You said you're gonna be famous one day,
Making millions with those skates.
You said there was so much to see,
And so much to gain-
But all I see is your career down the drain.
You said you'd give me the good life,
And that forever I'd be your wife.
Well hockey's a player's game,
So a player you'll naturally be-

But all you ever lead me to was 71 broken hearts.
But how can you make 71 promises,
Before this all even starts?
