Fall by Shannon Smith

It is a very special time of year,
We know that Winter soon will be here.

Pumpkin patches, hayrides, halloween and leaf piles,
Are enjoyed by all across the miles.

The leaves on the trees,
You can hear them whisper in the cool autumn breeze.

Vibrant colors of red, orange, yellow, and purple,
Light up the afternoon sky as if it were on fire.

Now they fall to the ground and the trees are now bare,
Only branches can be seen, the leaves are no longer there.

For what is to come is the color of white,
To some, not their delight.

Gone for another year are the days of sweaty summer,
Fall is here, school is starting- What a bummer!
